Journaling invalidation instead of outcomes
A mentored-practice habit that keeps reviews honest when a winning trade was still poorly framed.
Outcome-only journals flatter luck. In mentored practice weeks we ask for a different primary line: where was invalidation, and did you honour it?
A trade can make money after you moved a stop farther away. That is not a structure success. Conversely, a stopped trade that followed a clear break of structure still deserves a calm note. Mentors reply to process, not P&L streaks.
If you want a minimal template, use four lines: bias evidence, entry trigger, invalidation level, behaviour at invalidation. Bring two weeks of that template to a private chart review and the session moves faster — less storytelling, more repair.
